Yes! The Vancouver Masonic Centre was built in support of our goal to increase transparency with the community. The building has been designed with wide, open windows and a dedicated event space called ARRAS. There are meeting spaces for the exclusive use of members, but if you’re interested in learning more about the organization then we encourage you to sign up for one of our Open House events.
In Freemasonry, the Masonic Lodge refers to a group of men who meet as Freemasons. The Vancouver Masonic Centre acts as a gathering place for several different Lodges in the Vancouver area.
There are three degrees of Freemasonry that represent ceremonial stages a man goes through on his journey. They are Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft and Master Mason, loosely representing the stages of manhood (youth, adulthood and elder).
No. While our ceremonies and rituals are private to our members, we encourage openness and transparency. Our members are invited to share their stories and experiences – and the new Vancouver Masonic Centre is designed as a testament to that openness.
